On Monday morning, February 15, 2021, several people took to the streets of the commune of Daloa, the capital of the Haut Sassandra region, notably in the slaughterhouse district 2.

Indeed, the slaughterhouse population 2 is calling on the political leaders and executives of the Upper Sassandra region in the west-central part of the country to improve their living conditions for several years.

Thus, the slaughterhouse district 2 classified as one of the most popular and precarious districts of the city of Daloa is left in oblivion by the government and the officials of the so-called locality. However, when questioned on the spot, some protesters said that during election campaigns, local elected officials promised water and electricity to the people of slaughterhouse 2.

However, several months after the presidential election, these populations are still waiting for promises. Thus, in impatience, several residents of slaughterhouse district 2 took to the streets with placards in hand with signs marked ''we want water and electricity''. They stormed the main public roads leading into slaughterhouse district 2. The crowd is made up of young women.
