Mr. Roger Dakouri: "Kouyaté being Kandia's chief of staff, the law forbids him to be a candidate"
Roger Dakouri as alternate candidate for the Lakota parliamentary elections
Roger Dakouri, deputy to candidate Lida Kouassi in the Lakota constituency, says that RHDP candidate Kouyaté Abdoulaye does not meet the conditions under the electoral code. "Under the provisions of Article 87 of the Electoral Law, "the mandate of a Member of Parliament is incompatible with the status of a member of the Constitutional Council and supreme courts, a member of the Economic and Social Council, a member of the ministerial cabinet and a member of the Electoral Commission," Roger Dakouri said during the Federal REIT Gbagbo meeting on Wednesday (February 17th). However, it is now known that Mr. Kouyaté, Member of Parliament for Lakota for the current legislature, is a member of the cabinet of Dame KANDIA KAMARA, Minister of National Education since 2011. He's the chief of staff. So he can't be a candidate. But compliance with the law is not done for the RHDP," he added.

It has been since 2016 that this law has been trampled on. In 2016, Kouyaté Abdoulaye was already chief of staff to Minister Kandia Camara. In 2016, he ran for Lakota and is the MP for Lakota.

"If the RHDP does not comply with the provisions of the electoral code, the Dida people must enforce the law of the land. the vote on 6 March is therefore of a special character. The children of Lakota will therefore have to mobilize all to take over the post of Deputy," advised Mr Dakouri.
